An Update from the Hill

Last summer, we were at the peak of the Coronavirus pandemic. We needed to both keep our community safe but also serve people in need. Throughout Spring 2020, we were still accepting new applicants into our Resident program and placing them on a waitlist until we could determine a safe way for them to arrive. We were also taking that time to restructure our program to allow more frequent intakes. In July 2020, we welcomed new Residents to the property.

Since then, we have had a steady flow of new Residents every month. Some may remember that our intake only happened three times a year; we have now changed to accepting people monthly. Since last July, we have welcomed almost 50 new people into the Resident Program and celebrated three graduation ceremonies. It’s exciting to welcome new people every month and watch as the Lord’s love becomes clear during their time here.

On June 25th, we had our first graduation of the year. Because of the pandemic and our new program structure, we had six months without graduation ceremonies.  Ashley has been our first graduate of 2021.  It’s been wonderful watching her grow in her relationship with the Lord; her love for Jesus Christ shines through in her loving and caring spirit for others. We’re glad to have been part of her healing journey and watch the Lord work in her life.

-His Mansion began in Connecticut in 1972 in a 120-year-old Victorian mansion!

-Our New Hampshire property is over 315 acres and has 19 buildings. There are 75 staff, Servant Leaders, and program Residents living on The Hill.

-Resident work crews cut and split nearly 300 cords of wood each year, keeping the buildings and families warm through the New England winter season.

-His Mansion runs two programs simultaneously: one for Residents and one for Servant Leader training & equipping.

-Your church or ministry group can come to His Mansion for a week or weekend and help with projects and participate in family life on The Hill. Contact us to learn more.

What’s New on the Hill?

This year, we also have some new staff joining our team. Frank and Audrey Vitale will be joining us on The Hill. Frank has many years of ministry and leadership experience and has stepped in as the Executive Director.

The Lord has also blessed us with new Servant Leaders over the past year. Despite going through a difficult season, the Lord richly provided. We recently just welcomed two new Servant Leaders and will be welcoming a few more over the coming months. We are excited for new faces to join the community and are thankful for the Lord’s provision.

As the warm weather is here to stay, we’ve been making updates to our facilities. Thanks to a generous anonymous donor, we have made some special updates to our Griggs Dining hall. We installed a new dishwasher and completely updated that area of the kitchen. We also repainted the dining room and added new curtains. Everyone in the community, especially our kitchen staff, is excited to have these changes.

Lastly, His Mansion is prayerfully finalizing an exciting five-year plan covering program, staffing, facilities, finances, and more. Stay tuned for more information and please pray about partnering with us as we seek to serve more Residents and see Jesus redeem and renew lives!

Prayer Requests

As the year continues, please be in prayer for our ministry. We have gathered some specific prayer requests from our staff that you can be praying for:

  • Rachel, a staff member, has asked for prayer as she is due to have her baby in about two weeks.

  • Pray for our Residents in phase two. Phase two also called “inner healing” is where many of our Residents dig deeper into the roots of their struggles. Pray for them as they go through this difficult but healing phase.

  • Janessa, a staff member, would like prayer for her uncle diagnosed with terminal cancer. Please pray that her uncle and family would find salvation in Jesus Christ.

  • Naomi, a staff member, would like prayer for her family members that were recently diagnosed with cancer. Please pray that the Lord would provide strength, funds for their treatment, and comfort during this time.

If you’re interested in partnering with us either through the opportunities mentioned above or through prayer you can
